There were a couple shows this weekend, but due to other engagements, I was only able to attend one. I decided on Tuner Evolution in Daytona Beach for the event that I would cover. Daytona Beach has always been a hot spot for car related events, but in recent years it seems to be waning. The last Spring Break Nationals was a complete let down. I’m glad to have people still supporting car events in Daytona and Tuner Evo didn’t disappoint. I was under the understanding that it was supposed to be an indoor/outdoor show, but due to the threat of rain, they moved everything indoors. That was really nice that they were able to make adjustments to accommodate everyone, so that cars and people were not left out in the cold. Parking was easy, there is a parking garage right next to the convention center. After parking it’s a short walk to the show.
Everything seemed very organized. There was no confusion of where to go to get a ticket or where to get in. Once inside, I was glad to see that the cars had not been crammed inside the convention center. I can’t stand it when event staff park cars so close to each other that you can’t even walk in between them to check the cars out. All the usual crews were there, Clean Culture, Boxed Lifestyle, Lowered Lifestyle, Simply Clean, CamberGang, etc. It takes everyone in the scene supporting these events to make them happen. You always gotta give props to the crews that come deep and really show support.
Walking around the show, there was an upbeat vibe. People seemed awake and ready to have a good time. I know how hard it is to be awake at these shows sometimes cause of all the prep and getting up early it takes to show your vehicle. Props to everyone that showed their car and took pride in their work of art. Unlike at StanceNation, I told myself I was gonna take it easy and just shoot a few pics, but I still ended up with a ton of coverage. There were a lot of really great builds there, some with new stuff to look at, and some I hadn’t seen before. It was great to see them all.
Check out the coverage I shot below. Keep checking back as I add more.
Thanks
