I always attend the shows that Showin puts on. One, they are always at a location that is no farther than 20 minutes from my house, and two Scott always puts on a good show. He legitimately tries to make it fair, but still give recognition to everyone that attends. Showin doesn’t limit their shows to just stance cars, muscle cars, or trucks. They are open to all types of cars and they make sure to have judged classes and trophies for everything that attends. It can be a nightmare in terms of judging, I know cause I help judge for him often, but he always gets it done and gives out tons of trophies.
This show was in conjunction with the local movie theater and coincided with the new Transformers The Last Knight movie release. He had a row of featured cars parked right under the movie theaters awning at the box office. This was cool for them cause there were tons of people, that may or may not have been into cars, stop and look at all of them as they were arriving or leaving a movie. There was even a Camaro that it’s theme is a Transformers Decepticon theme so it fit perfectly. A ton of cars, trucks, and motorcycles showed up to show off their rides. Particularly, a group I haven’t seen show up before called So Lifted Trucks came out and brought some really impressive lifted trucks. There were some bad ass lifted and bagged trucks in their group and I was glad to see them come support. There was also a big turnout from the motorcyle community and all the other car clubs around like Team Lenso and Custom Toys.
The one thing that I really wish could be different is the heat. The black asphalt parking lot at the movie theater didn’t help at all. There really isn’t a lot you can do about that when you have shows in Florida during summer, other than making sure you have a tent to get out of the sun, or having the show indoors. Every outdoor summer show I tell myself, I’m only doing indoor shows during the summer, but then I end up at the next show sweating my ass off anyway. lol I’m going to actively work on coming up with a summer show that is indoors, or figure out a way to have one outdoors and beat the heat a little for everyone. Stay tuned.
Thanks to Scott for having me at the show and to everyone that came by and hung out for a bit, or grabbed a sticker or banner.
Below are some pics I got at the show. I’m trying to find the time to process all the pics I got, so keep checking back cause I’ll be adding more over the next couple days.
